"With the new BMW R 1300 RT, we have taken BMW Motorrad's touring icon to a whole new level. The design is lighter, more accessible, and more dynamic than ever before. What's more, with a completely new engine, chassis, and aerodynamics, it offers a riding experience that meets the highest demands in this segment in terms of dynamics, comfort, and travel capability."

The new BMW R 1300 RT: Broader spectrum from comfortable touring bike to dynamic motorcycle for rides on country roads. Dynamic design language with optimized wind and weather protection.

The new BMW R 1300 RT follows in the footsteps of its highly successful predecessor. It builds on the proven qualities of the BMW RT, such as touring capability and riding comfort – whether alone, with a passenger or with lots of luggage. At the same time, the new R 1300 RT has broadened its usage profile by making its dynamic systems even more prominent. Sporty optional equipment such as the sports brakes, the improved Shift Assistant Pro, and the newly developed DCA electronic suspension enable an even more active and dynamic riding style. The range of optional extras is complemented by the Automated Shift Assistant (ASA), which can be driven in both a sporty and dynamic manual mode and a comfortable automatic mode. All this, combined with a more dynamic and visually lighter design, promises to continue the success story of the BMW RT.

The wind and weather protection concept of the new R 1300 RT includes adjustable side fairings that are seamlessly integrated into the design. This allows the rider to be supplied with sufficient fresh air at all times, even under challenging conditions such as city traffic or high outside temperatures on country roads, and offers highly effective protection against wind and weather at low temperatures on the highway or motorway.

In addition to the basic version in the single color Alpine White 3, the new BMW R 1300 RT is available in the Triple Black model variant in Blackstorm metallic, the emphatically dynamic Impulse model variant in Racing Blue metallic, and the particularly elegant Option 719 Camargue model variant in Blue Ridge Mountain metallic.

Perfect ergonomics and equipment for comfortable and dynamic travel and touring.

The design, engine, and chassis of the BMW R 1300 RT are not the only aspects of the BMW touring icon that reflect the ambition of the BMW Motorrad development team to expand the range of possible applications of the new BMW R 1300 RT and make it even more dynamic. Great importance was also attached to ergonomics, with an emphasis on creating a more active riding position.

The ergonomic triangle formed by the handlebars, footrests, and seat on the new R 1300 RT is designed to position the rider noticeably further forward. This results in improved front-end response and, consequently, even greater controllability during dynamic riding. At the same time, the more active seating position still allows for relaxed touring and cruising, even with a passenger. The height and angle of the rider's seat can be adjusted to fine-tune the riding position. Passenger comfort has also been significantly improved. The new panniers now offer more space for the passenger's lower legs without compromising the volume of the panniers. The passenger buddy seat has also been lengthened. There is now more room to change your sitting position from time to time during longer rides.

A choice of different seat heights for optimal riding comfort and a new luggage system with electric panniers and top case. Additional variable volume system for panniers for optimal adjustment.

As usual, BMW Motorrad engineers paid special attention to easy access and a low seat height. That's why the focus during development of the new R 1300 RT was on achieving a seat height of just 780 mm. The inner leg curve is also significantly smaller than on the previous model. In addition to the standard buddy seat, other seating options are available as individual optional equipment ex works.

The new BMW R 1300 RT comes standard with panniers (27 liters each) for touring and vacation trips. Further highlights of the new R 1300 RT include the Vario panniers, available ex-factory as optional equipment for a BMW RT for the first time. The variable luggage system allows the volume to be adjusted from 27 to 33 liters, depending on the desired width of the panniers.

Both cases are electrified and can be unlocked with the central locking system. They also both have interior lighting, and the left case contains a USB-C charging port. The two top cases, with capacities of 39 and 54 liters respectively, offer additional storage space. The large 54-liter luggage compartment is also electrified. A special feature is the heated backrest for the passenger.
