Lightweight, agile, and built for pure driving pleasure.
BMW Motorrad is expanding the F 450 family with the new BMW F 450 R. This compact naked bike combines BMW's sporty character with a lightweight design and an accessible size. The design is inspired by the powerful S 1000 R.
The F 450 R is powered by a newly developed 420 cc parallel-twin engine with 48 pk and 43 Nm of torque. With a curb weight of just 175 kg, the motorcycle offers an impressive power-to-weight ratio within the A2 class. Thanks to the 135-degree crankshaft offset, the engine also has a distinctive character and smooth power delivery.
The F 450 R is also fully equipped in terms of technology. ABS Pro, DTC, DBC, MSR, and the Rain, Road, and Dynamic riding modes come standard. Depending on the model, features such as Shift Assistant Pro, Sport Suspension, and the Easy Ride Clutch are available.
The steel trellis frame, short wheelbase, and compact design ensure agile and playful handling. The 43-mm upside-down front fork and aluminum swingarm contribute to the direct feedback and precise handling.
The BMW F 450 R is available in four trim levels: Base, Exclusive, M Sport, and M Sport with the Innovation Package.
The new BMW F 450 R is expected to be available starting in the summer of 2027, with a manufacturer's suggested retail price starting at €7,800.
More information about availability and models will follow as soon as it is known.
