The model has been given a sharper and more aggressive design, with new LED headlights and a more compact front end. Brushed aluminum side panels and a redesigned LED taillight contribute to a high-quality look.

The 948cc inline four-cylinder engine features new camshafts for increased torque in low and mid-range revs. Electronic throttle valves provide more precise throttle response and enable the addition of an up/down quickshifter and cruise control.
Electronics and Technology
A six-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) provides advanced rider assistance systems, including lean-angle-sensitive ABS and Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF). The new 5-inch TFT color display supports turn-by-turn navigation and voice control via the Rideology app.
